About Rosalind
Bringing to therapy the depth of understanding that comes from lived experience
Hello, I’m Rosalind
I support parents who would like to better understand their child’s behaviour, emotional outbursts, or learning challenges—
so they can respond with greater calm, connection, and confidence.
Parenting can feel overwhelming at times, especially when things aren’t going as expected.
You’re not alone in feeling this way.
I bring a gentle, compassionate and understanding approach to supporting families,
creating a space where things can begin to make more sense.
My Approach
I believe that children’s behaviour is a form of communication.
Rather than trying to suppress or eliminate behaviours,
we can begin to see them as messages—signals that something underneath needs attention or support.
When we understand the *“why”* behind behaviour,
we can respond in ways that feel safer, more connected, and more meaningful.
Learning and behaviour often improve naturally when children feel understood and supported.
A Little of My Journey
My interest in child development began over 20 years ago, when my daughter started school.
She experienced intense after-school meltdowns, and her anxiety in the classroom was increasing.
Like many parents, I didn’t know how to help.
That experience led me to begin studying and exploring child development more deeply—
learning how early experiences of safety and connection shape how children feel, behave, and learn.
Over time, this grew into the work I do today.
Experience and Perspective
I am a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor, Registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, and Victims Services Counsellor.
As a mother and grandmother, I also bring lived experience into my work—
alongside many years of training and study in child development and holistic counselling.
My approach is relational and holistic,
considering the needs of both you and your child—emotionally, developmentally, and within the context of your relationship.
What I’ve Come to See
Over time, I’ve come to understand that supporting a child often begins with supporting the parent.
When parents are given space, understanding, and gentle support,
it can create meaningful shifts—not only for the child, but for the whole family.
My Intention
My intention is to support parents to raise children who feel safe and understood—
and who are able to grow into confident, capable individuals living meaningful lives.
Away From Work
When I’m not working, you might find me spending time with my family,
walking alongside the Moruya River, or enjoying a quiet coffee at a local café.
A Gentle Next Step
If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a different way to support your child,
you’re very welcome to reach out.
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
